Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and service oriented Centralized Lending Originator to join our remote team.  In this role, you will be responsible for the origination of consumer loan applications, serving as the first point of contact for members seeking lending solutions.   Working in a centralized, non-branch environment, you will handle inbound loan inquiries and conduct outbound outreach via phone, digital platforms and internal referral channels.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage with members via phone, email or digital applications to discuss lending needs
 - Recommend appropriate loan products (e.g., personal loans, auto loans, credit cards, Lines of credit and Home equity ) based on member needs and eligibility.

- Collect And input initial loan application data accurately and efficiently.
 - Clearly communicate loan terms, rates and product features.
 - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all lending products, eligibility criteria and internal procedures.
 - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely handoff to underwriting and processing staff.
 - Meet or exceed origination volume goals and service expectations.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred 2-3 years in financial services,
• With the ability to complete the required Certifications within first 30 days

Required Knowledge:    

• Ability to learn and follow OCU’s loan services, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to learn and follow related legal and regulatory standards and required loan documentation.

Skills & Abilities:

- Excellent interviewing, communication and public relations skills
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
 - Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems
