Position Summary

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our production equipment and facility systems. This hands-on role performs routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous production of our frozen products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems for manufacturing and packaging equipment.

  • Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance per established schedules.

  • Quickly diagnose mechanical issues to reduce equipment downtime and maintain product quality.

  • Collaborate with production teams to support machine set-ups, changeovers, and calibrations.

  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log work orders and equipment history.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with GMP, OSHA, and food safety standards.

  • Support facility maintenance, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and general building systems.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support capital projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. Technical certification or trade school preferred.

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production maintenance role.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to work with tools, machinery, and mechanical systems.

  • Working knowledge of motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, compressors, and hydraulic systems.

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and knowledge of PLC-controlled systems a plus.

  • Must be comfortable working around food-grade environments, with strict cleanliness and safety protocols.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Requires standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in cold and/or wet environments typical of frozen food manufacturing.

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed.
