The HSE Specialist will be an integral part of our team, working to ensure the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our operations. Based in Casper, you will actively engage with our Downhole Tools and Reed Hycalog facilities, providing essential support and guidance. Your primary focus will be on identifying and mitigating risks, promoting safe work practices, and driving continuous improvement in HSE performance. By implementing our HSE Management System, you will play a crucial role in creating a culture of safety and compliance within our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with facility personnel to understand HSE needs and challenges.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
  • Promote safe work practices and provide training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant HSE regulations and standards.
  • Implement and monitor HSE programs and initiatives.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with facility management to develop and improve HSE processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of HSE activities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on HSE performance to management.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging HSE trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using HSE management software and data analysis tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is an asset.
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
