The Repair Shop Technician Trainee is a full time, entry level position. A typical day as a Repair Shop Technician Trainee consists of diagnosing broken robotic inspection equipment or cables, repairing equipment, and testing repaired equipment before it goes back into the field. Occasionally, travel to various locations in the Seattle metro in a company vehicle as needed to deliver replacement components to the field. No experience required. Duties: The employee will learn or assist with the following duties: All repair shop team members must be able to perform or learn the following: Soldering wires and pin bodies Re-terming all the various cables used by the field crews Proficiently function and leak testing the various equipment Show an understanding of basic electrical theory and using a Multimeter to troubleshoot problems Have a safety first mindset, use and maintain shop PPE, and use a fume extractor Maintain a clean and organized workspace Learn to perform at least the basic repairs on all the equipment Learn to troubleshoot issues down to the faulty component QualificationsResponsibilities & Qualifications: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization Candidates with mechanical, automotive, or electronic circuitry experience preferred Ability to complete work in an efficient manner, possibly multi-tasking Adhere to all safety and quality policies Able to work an overtime schedule Computer knowledgeable and able to quickly learn new software Able to work individually or as a team Display an eagerness to learn and take on more challenging repairs over time Possess good work ethic, takes initiative on tasks, willing to work in a structured work environment and follow all company and client procedures and policies Valid Driver's License with safe driving record Able to pass drug screening and motor vehicle background check A pre-employment drug screen (including Marijuana) and third party background check are required as a condition of employment. Must have the visual acuity to handle power and hand tools safely.
