Senior Manufacturing Planner

Aerospace Production & Bill of Materials (BOM)

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Planner to support aerospace manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and production documentation. This role supports manufacturing engineering, supplier integration, tooling coordination, production planning, and process improvement while ensuring products are built to engineering specifications and delivery schedules are achieved.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, illustrations, and production documentation to define and control as-built product configurations.
  • Support supplier integration by assisting with manufacturing processes, materials, technologies, and production requirements.
  • Review supplier documentation to verify compliance with manufacturing requirements and engineering specifications.
  • Identify tooling requirements and initiate tooling requests based on engineering and manufacturing needs.
  • Assist with tooling disposition activities and support tooling lifecycle management.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing-related production issues to support efficient operations.
  • Participate in producibility assessments to improve manufacturability of new and existing product designs.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering input to improve product design, manufacturing processes, production technologies, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Develop work statements, manufacturing sequences, and production routing to support on-time delivery commitments.
  • Review, maintain, and monitor manufacturing documentation to ensure accuracy and configuration control.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience developing manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and production documentation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling coordination, supplier support, and production planning.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing engineering, configuration management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more additional years of related manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation control, supplier collaboration, and production process optimization.
