  • Sunday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Tuesday – Saturday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

About Kerri’s House

Kerri’s House is a residential program providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children ages 5 to 12. Many of our residents have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or challenging life circumstances.

Our team provides therapeutic care, education, supervision, and life skills support to help children heal, grow, and develop confidence.

What You’ll Do

As a Youth Support Worker, you will provide direct care and support to children in a structured residential setting.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to residents
  • Assist with meal preparation and daily living activities
  • Provide transportation to appointments and activities
  • Support individualized treatment plans and therapeutic goals
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate resident records, progress notes, and incident reports
  • Collaborate with team members to provide consistent and effective care

The Ideal Youth Support Worker:

  • Understands child development, behavior management, and therapeutic techniques
  • Builds meaningful relationships with children and families
  • Can remain calm and supportive during challenging situations
  • Works effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology with one year of experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting; OR
  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years of relevant experience working with youth

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past six months
  • Must successfully complete physical and drug screening
  • Must pass Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances
  • Must successfully complete Safety Crisis Management (SCM) certification within one week of hire

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to participate in physically demanding activities required for SCM training
  • Ability to bend, lift, stand, walk, and assist residents as needed
