Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a Full-Time Lead Cook to oversee daily kitchen operations and help provide quality meal service at the Grand Traverse County Jail in Traverse City, Michigan.

In This Role, You Will
- Lead and support daily kitchen operations
- Prepare, cook, and bake meals according to company recipes
- Train and assist kitchen staff
- Ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Help create a positive, team-oriented work environment
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has strong leadership and communication skills
- Works well in a structured correctional setting
- Can read and follow standardized recipes
- Is able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Takes pride in producing quality food and maintaining a clean kitchen
- Enjoys working as part of a team
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain facility security clearance
- Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Flexibility to work shifts between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Previous food service experience is preferred, but we're willing to train motivated candidates with the right attitude!
