Community Medical Center is seeking a confident, collaborative, and clinically grounded leader to serve as Director of Emergency Services. This role provides strategic, operational, nursing, and emergency personnel leadership for the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality, timely, patient-centered emergency care for the communities we serve.Â
The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, staffing, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and financial performance of the Emergency Department. The Director works closely with medical staff, nursing leadership, hospital administration, EMS partners, and community stakeholders to support safe, efficient, and effective emergency care in a rural hospital setting.Â
Qualifications

The Director works closely with medical staff, nursing leadership, hospital administration, EMS partners, and community stakeholders to support safe, efficient, and effective emergency care in a rural hospital setting.Â
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse, Paramedic, APRN, or Physician Assistant
- Minimum of five years of emergency services experience, with a minimum of two years in a hospital setting.
- Leadership experience in an emergency setting highly preferred but not required.Â
- Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and organized.
- Initiative to solve problems.Â
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of patient care standards mandated by regulatory agencies.Â
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current Nebraska License (per profession).
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or ATLS certified.
- Certification in area of specialty preferred.
Candidates with significant emergency department experience and leadership potential may be considered for a manager position with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Â
