The Surgery Scheduler/Patient Care Tech is responsible for providing administrative, clerical, and clinical support to ensure safe, efficient, and coordinated perioperative care. This role supports surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and ancillary teams through the use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR), managing scheduling, documentation, pre-operative requirements, and communication while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and experience. Main duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
- BLS Certification required.
- The ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, good organizational skills, problem solving skills, and initiative. Must be able to work flexible hours and work beyond “normal” working hours when necessary.
- Must possess the ability to communicate respectfully and tactfully with physicians, hospital personnel, and patients.
