The Director of Human Resources is responsible for executing HR strategies and programs that support Vibe Restaurants’ workforce. This role focuses on operational HR management, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and compliance. The Director works closely with the VP of HR to implement initiatives that enhance employee performance, engagement, and organizational culture across all restaurant locations.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new hire success.
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to address staffing needs and challenges.
  • Maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and job boards.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and investigations.
  • Implement programs to enhance employee engagement and morale.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in collaboration with leadership.
  • Conduct employee surveys and analyze feedback to improve workplace culture.

3. Training & Development

  • Execute training programs to support employee development and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Training team to align programs with company standards.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and adjust programs as needed.
  • Support leadership development for restaurant managers and supervisors.

4. Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR policies.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure HR processes meet regulatory standards.
  • Support investigations and documentation for compliance-related issues.

5. HR Systems & Analytics

  • Leverage HR technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Analyze HR metrics to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Support the implementation of new HR tools and systems.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Reports to the VP of Human Resources on HR program execution and challenges.
  • Ensures consistent application of HR policies across all locations.
  • Drives employee engagement and supports a positive workplace culture.
  • Manages HR resources effectively within budget constraints.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes HR programs in alignment with company goals and policies.
  • Tracks and reports on recruitment, training, and employee relations metrics.
  • Supports crisis management for HR-related issues.
  • Builds relationships with restaurant teams, vendors, and HR partners.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-unit operations.
  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and training program execution.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and labor regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR software and data analysis.
  • Ability to build relationships and foster teamwork.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to restaurant locations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry materials for training or events.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Hybrid role with a mix of office and remote work.
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability for HR-related matters.
