Job Summary
MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Production Manager for our Farmington Hills, Michigan manufacturing operation. In this role, you will lead daily production across assigned areas while developing teams and driving safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Pay: $100,000-$115,000/year

What You'll Do as a Production Manager
Lead day-to-day operations across assigned production areas, ensuring output, quality, safety, and efficiency targets are consistently met.
Oversee production machinery, assembly processes, quality control, packaging, and related workflows to support efficient operations.
Manage staffing levels, employee training, and workload distribution to support production goals and maintain a balanced operation.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production demand while minimizing excess stock and optimizing space.
Collaborate with R&D, product development and engineering, facilities management, maintenance, and customer service teams to align production with organizational priorities.
Identify and resolve operational issues, coordinate effective solutions, and use production data to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen product quality.
Lead initiatives that improve workflows, equipment utilization, production planning, quality control, and overall operational performance.
Ensure production activities follow internal policies and applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards; maintain required production reports, inventory logs, and compliance records while reinforcing 5S and continuous improvement practices.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
At least 6 years of experience in manufacturing or production management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of production processes, machinery, quality control, and inventory management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse production team and support a positive, productive work environment.
Ability to quickly identify operational issues and implement effective solutions that keep production on track and maintain quality standards.
Ability to develop short- and long-term production plans that align with organizational goals and improve efficiency and profitability.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
