TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an Occupational Safety Internship. Ā The Internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and complement their classroom learning.

Internship Duration: Onsite in Farmington, CT from January 2027 - August 2027 At least 32 hours weekly

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Hazard and Risk Assessment of existing and new processes
  • Exhaust ventilation, noise, and industrial hygiene assessments
  • Life safety, hazardous materials, and physical hazards inspections of buildings and facilities
  • Weekly and monthly waste and chemical storage facilities inspections and reporting
  • Hazardous chemical and Safety Data Sheet document management system maintenance
  • Data collection, analysis, and reporting leading and lagging occupational safety metrics
  • Participation in reviews of key safety programs, including Lockout & Tagout, Electrical Safety, and Emergency Response Plans.

Qualifications

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Strong inter-personal communication skillsĀ and ability to work as a team player.

Education

Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate’s degree in occupational safety or a related field.
