JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
One to two years of experience in sales, customer service, community outreach, account support, business development, or a related customer-facing role is preferred; telecommunications, broadband, utility, technology, outside-sales, commercial account, or property-management experience is beneficial.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Must be able to learn OzarksGo products, service areas, sales processes, and customer systems, with strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building, organization, follow-up, and time-management skills.
MAJOR JOB TASKS:
- Proactively identify, develop, and advance new residential and commercial growth opportunities throughout the OzarksGo service area, with a focus on opportunities that contribute to overall revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market penetration.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with property managers, leasing teams, builders, developers, business owners, existing customers, referral partners, community partners, and other key stakeholders to create opportunities, strengthen engagement, and support OzarksGo's long-term growth.
- Identify and develop MDU, SFU, new-construction, developer, and other strategic growth opportunities for OzarksGo. Work collaboratively with the Business Development Specialists or Manager of Business Development on opportunities involving access agreements, marketing-exclusive arrangements, bulk service, developer agreements, formal proposals, or other complex opportunities, while remaining actively involved in relationship development and ongoing market success.
- Develop and execute targeted customer-acquisition and market-growth strategies using available market and customer data to identify opportunities and increase customer penetration. Utilize targeted outreach, relationship development, community engagement, and other approved strategies to drive residential and commercial growth.
- Monitor growth, adoption, retention, and penetration within targeted markets and relationships, and adjust priorities and strategies based on results, customer response, available data, market conditions, and identified opportunities.
- Develop and advance commercial growth and sales opportunities through relationship development, market outreach, referrals, prospecting, customer engagement, and other approved strategies.
- Manage and support commercial relationships through proactive account contact, renewals, retention efforts, and identification of account growth or expansion opportunities. Work collaboratively with the Business Development Specialists or Manager of Business Development on larger, more complex, or agreement-based commercial opportunities.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of residential and commercial growth opportunities, MDU and developer relationships, prospects, renewals, and account-development opportunities. Consistently advance opportunities through appropriate follow-up, relationship development, and internal coordination, and maintain accurate and timely information in the CRM and other required reporting systems.
- Present OzarksGo products and services as appropriate, identify customer and market needs, recommend solutions, and advance sales opportunities that contribute to customer acquisition, retention, renewal, account growth, and overall market development.
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Marketing, Technical Sales, Network, Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and other departments to help move identified growth opportunities from development through execution and support a smooth customer experience.
- Route service issues and escalations to the appropriate support or operational resources while maintaining ownership of relationship-related communication and follow-up.
- Participate in approved community events, business functions, property and developer meetings, customer and partner meetings, training, coaching, and sales meetings.
- Provide additional sales, account-management, and business-development support based on customer demand, workload, staffing coverage, and business priorities, and perform other related duties as required or assigned in support of OzarksGo growth and organizational objectives.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Regular contact with prospective and existing residential and commercial customers, property managers, leasing personnel, builders, developers, business owners, referral partners, community organizations, and members of the public; contacts require professional judgment, relationship development, accurate communication, and consistent follow-through.
- Frequent internal coordination with Customer Service, Marketing, Technical Sales, Network, Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and leadership. Larger, more complex, agreement-based, MDU, SFU, developer, and commercial opportunities are coordinated with the Business Development Specialists or Manager of Business Development while the Market Development Specialist remains involved as appropriate in relationship development and ongoing account or market success.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to operate equipment and technology normally used in an office and field-sales environment, including a computer, mobile device, and presentation equipment. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and remain insurable under the company's vehicle insurance requirements.
- Must be comfortable with proactively identifying growth opportunities, relationship development, market outreach, customer and property visits, account management, renewals, prospecting, CRM documentation, email, spreadsheets, mobile applications, and digital business tools. Must be self-motivated, dependable, professional, results-oriented, and able to work independently while following established pricing, sales, account-management, and escalation procedures.
- Must be able to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
- Work is performed in both office and field environments and may include exposure to normal outdoor weather conditions during customer, property, developer, or community visits. Must be able to travel throughout the OzarksGo service territory; occasional travel outside the service territory may be required. Some evening, weekend, or irregular work hours may be required for customer appointments, property or developer meetings, community events, or outreach activities. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility. Must protect confidential customer and company information and comply with all OzarksGo and Ozarks Electric policies, safety rules, and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate equipment; and occasionally required to reach, climb, or balance.
