Summary of Job Duties:

The Case Manager in the Fulbright College will serve as advisor and point of contact for students navigating a variety of processes related to records, registration, petitions, and academic integrity. They will apply foundational student support competencies to specific student situations as assigned. The Case Manager will work closely with both the Assistant Dean for Academics and the Director of Academic Operations and may be assigned other operational responsibilities as needed. Caseloads will be unpredictable and, at times, extremely high volume.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in the arts and sciences from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the time of the appointment 

OR 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the time of the appointment 

AND

  • At least one year of full-time employment in a field that commonly employs art and sciences graduates 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree completed or completed within six months of start date from an accredited institution of higher education 

OR 

  • At least two years of full-time employment in a field that commonly employs arts and science graduate 

  • At least one year of full-time experience in one (or a combination) of the following fields: 

Academic advising or student conduct 

Career advising or coaching 

College, high school, or middle school teaching or counseling 

Social worker or other mental health care professional working directly with clients 

Related higher education experience working directly with students (two years of work as a graduate assistant or adjunct teacher is equivalent to one year full-time) 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to create trust through communication  

  • Ability to have adaptability of communication strategies to varying stakeholders 

  • Ability to convey the purpose of a liberal arts education to varying stake holders 

  • Ability to assess own professional development and identify desired areas of growth
