On-Site Parts Handler
Job Description
The On-Site Parts Handler is a hands-on, physically active role responsible for the day-to-day handling, movement, and inventory tracking of industrial machine spare parts at the customer site. While forklift operation is a significant part of the job, this position also involves manual labor-Â lifting, carrying, and moving parts by hand, palletizing, loading and unloading deliveries, and keeping parts areas organized. The role also includes entering and maintaining accurate part and inventory data in our ERP system. The candidate will work closely with the On-Site Lead and On-Site Account Representative to ensure parts move efficiently through the facility and that the work area remains organized and safe. We are a safety-conscious company and use every safety measure available - proper equipment, PPE, training, and team lifts - to keep this work within OSHA and recognized safe-lifting guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manual Parts Handling: Lift, carry, and move spare parts by hand throughout the facility on a daily basis, including parts weighing up to 40 pounds. This is physical work performed consistently throughout the shift.
- Fork Trucking: Safely operate a forklift to move materials, parts, and pallets throughout the customer facility.
- Palletizing Material: Manually stack, secure, and prepare parts and materials on pallets for storage or shipment.
- Loading and Unloading Deliveries: Physically receive incoming shipments and load outgoing deliveries, verifying counts and condition of parts.
- ERP / Inventory Updates: Accurately enter part data and inventory transactions into our ERP system to keep records current. Training on systems will be provided.
- Scrapping Broken Parts: Identify, document, move, and properly dispose of failed or damaged parts in accordance with customer and company procedures.
- Organizing and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including parts storage areas, staging zones, and the warehouse floor. Involves regular bending, reaching, and repositioning of stored material.
- Safe Work Practices: Follow OSHA standards, proper lifting technique, and all company and customer site safety procedures. Use provided PPE and material-handling equipment, and request a team lift or assistance whenever a load calls for it.
- Team Support: Work closely with the On-Site Lead and On-Site Account Representative to support daily operations and customer needs.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position. Candidates should be prepared to:
- Regularly lift, carry, and move parts weighing up to 40 pounds, with assistance or equipment used for heavier items.
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and climb throughout the full shift.
- Perform repetitive manual handling and palletizing tasks daily.
- Work in a warehouse/industrial environment with varying temperatures and conditions.

- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection is provided and required.

Qualifications
- Forklift experience required; certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability and willingness to perform daily physical labor, including repeated lifting of up to 40 pounds, palletizing, and standing for extended periods. This is not a seated or primarily equipment-operating role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for data entry into ERP/inventory systems.
- Experience with ERP/inventory systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Commitment to working safely, including consistent use of PPE, proper lifting technique, and adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a customer-facing environment.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members, suppliers, and customer personnel.

- Manually handle, lift, and move industrial machine spare parts (up to 40 lbs) throughout the customer site daily.
