Position Summary:聽
Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned practice scope of practices following organization policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:聽
1.聽聽聽聽 Monitors ordering and storage of chemotherapy medications and records related information.
2.聽聽聽聽 Calculates and verifies with another qualified health professional the body surface area (BSA) of the patient and verify the appropriate dose ordered.
3.聽聽聽聽 Prepares patient and administers chemotherapy assessing signs and symptoms of adverse reactions and ensuring patient comfort levels. Performs port draws and maintains ports.

Required:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 One year of oncology nursing experience.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Current State of Michigan registered nurse license.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Current BLS
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 ONCC Certified Oncology Nurse (OCN) within eighteen (18) months of hire.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Oncology Nurse Society (ONS) or equivalent Chemotherapy/Biotherapy administration course within six (6) months of hire.
