Shift- Monday- Wednesday 5pm-5am (nights)

Purpose:

The Wet End Lead Extra functions as the backup for the Wet End Group Lead, assist in startups and shutdowns, and fills in as needed for all Wet End positions, including Resin Mixer. 

Qualifications:

  • Internal certification in the operation of the Polymerization Room
  • Internal certification in safe use of forklifts
  • Internal certification in safe use of overhead cranes
  • Internal certification in use of trash compactor
  • Ability to use utility knife and common hand tools safely
  • Ability to use scales for measuring in pounds and grams
  • Ability to read tape measure with decimal and fraction scale
  • Able to use line equipment control
  • Capable of computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and KBM
  • Ability to work safely around chemicals, fiberglass, catalyzed resin, and solvents
  • Able to use basic math skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to perform mix formulation calculations to determine component quantities for various amounts of mix and to determine mix quantity requirements
  • Understand RCRA and hazardous waste regulations
  • Certified as a Wet End Operator, Wet End Utility Operator, and Resin Mixer

Primary Functions:

  • General housekeeping of work area including the Raw Material Warehouse, the production lines, and the Polymerization Room
  • Assist the Group Lead in setting up the lines in accordance with historical settings; adjust these settings as needed to optimize run efficiencies
  • Assist the Group Lead in troubleshooting upset conditions with the help of the maintenance, technical, or production teams
  • Assist the Group Lead in ensuring all Wet End personnel are able to adequately perform their job duties. Contact the Production Supervisor for any barriers preventing efficient job performance
  • Assist the Group Lead in training all new Wet End personnel
  • Stand in for the Wet End Group Lead when they are absent
  • Fill in for all other Wet End positions as needed to cover absences and breaks
  • Assist in performing all startups, shutdowns, and changeovers efficiently
  • Set up the production lines for the next scheduled production run
