Job Description: Dispatcher-Heavy Hauling

Classification: Exempt

Reports To: Project Manager or General Manager

Position Overview

The role of Dispatching Assistant at Alcrete is to work closely with the Project Manager and the production team to ensure all products are scheduled, loaded and delivered according to the customers’ project schedules.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Coordinating with customers regarding production and delivery timelines.
• Work with transportation resources, both internal and external, to arrange shipments and deliveries.
• Ensure transportation resources understand all requirements for deliveries (DOT, safety, etc.) and can meet customer delivery expectations.
• Back up production scheduling as needed.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with drivers, production supervisors, and clients to maximize service, production, and delivery efficiency.
• Receive, record, and dispatch orders to approved customers.
• Plan loads for delivery to ensure deliveries are optimized and meet transportation requirements.
• Communicate deliveries with customers to ensure receipt of delivery at the customer site.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Dispatch experience
• Industry experience within construction and/or construction materials.
• Excellent work ethic with a positive attitude and ability to thrive in a demanding environment of teamwork and constant change.
• Experience reading plans (civil, architectural, structural, or electrical).
• Experience working in a similar office environment (engineering, architectural, manufacturing, or construction).
• Titan ERP software experience is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
