Mammography Technologist – Full-Time

Location: Flower Mound, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
No weekends or on-call shifts

Job Purpose

Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while providing compassionate patient care and education. The Mammography Technologist is responsible for maintaining image quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms using Hologic Dimensions equipment.

  • Verify patient information, explain procedures, answer questions, and help reduce patient anxiety.

  • Position patients accurately and select appropriate exposure factors to obtain optimal images.

  • Follow established radiation protection practices to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

  • Review images for quality and make necessary adjustments before completing the examination.

  • Document procedures and patient care accurately in the appropriate records.

  • Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and emergency-response policies and procedures.

  • Complete required quality-control testing and maintain all necessary MQSA documentation.

  • Ensure equipment remains operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs when needed.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, MQSA, and professional requirements.

  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge through continuing education and industry resources.

  • Collaborate with team members to support an efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

  • Perform other related duties as needed.
