Dispatcher

Fort Kent , Maine | Full-Time

S.W. Collins Company is looking for an organized, dependable, and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our Houlton team. The Dispatcher plays a key role in keeping our delivery operation running smoothly by coordinating drivers, deliveries, customers, and materials.

This is a fast-paced position where communication, organization, and problem-solving are essential. If you enjoy keeping things moving, working with people, and taking pride in getting the details right, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Coordinate daily delivery schedules and assign deliveries to drivers.
Communicate with drivers throughout the day to provide schedules, updates, and changes.
Work closely with sales, yard, warehouse, and management teams to coordinate deliveries.
Schedule customer deliveries based on customer needs, product availability, and delivery capacity.
Communicate professionally with contractors, homeowners, drivers, and coworkers.
Monitor delivery progress and adjust schedules when delays or unexpected situations occur.
Help ensure materials are properly staged and ready for delivery.
Provide accurate delivery information and instructions to drivers.
Assist with resolving delivery issues and customer concerns.
Maintain accurate delivery schedules, records, and documentation.
Help prioritize deliveries based on customer needs and operational requirements.
Promote safe and efficient delivery practices.
Provide the legendary customer service our customers have come to expect from S.W. Collins.

Previous dispatching, logistics, customer service, transportation, or building-materials experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
