Job DetailsJob Location: PC Fort Lauderdale - Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334Purpose The HR Generalist supports the people experience at Pine Crest by providing assistance with HR related matters, activities and events. This support is delivered with care, while maintaining confidentiality and delivering exceptional HR related services for faculty and staff. The HR Generalist supports the people life cycle from applicant through the employee’s tenure with the School. Essential Job Functions Supports the School’s mission statement and the philosophy of the department and adheres to School policies and procedures, including but not limited to what is outlined in the Faculty and Staff Employee Handbook Delivers exceptional customer service by addressing internal and external inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels with accurate and timely information, leveraging team expertise when appropriate. Supports the Benefits and Wellness team to implement and facilitate comprehensive employee wellness initiatives. Contributes to all phases of strategic Human Resources projects and cross-functional initiatives. Assists the HR Manager in overseeing and executing key stages of the employee lifecycle. Collaborates with the HR Manager to manage job requisitions and streamline new employee integration workflows. Facilitates the recruitment pipeline through Paycom system management and professional candidate correspondence. Supports seamless new hire onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive candidate transition. Oversees DOT and MVR record compliance; communicates regulatory requirements to staff regarding pre-employment and annual drug testing programs. Administers the FDLE fingerprint reprinting workflow and maintains accurate regulatory compliance documentation. Processes verbal and written employment verification requests in a timely and professional manner. Curates and updates HR portal content on mypinecrest to ensure accurate communication of resources. Maintains comprehensive physical and electronic HR recordkeeping systems in full alignment with state and federal legal regulations. Provides data analytics and interdepartmental support to address organizational inquiries. Promptly escalates employee concerns regarding inequitable treatment, discrimination, or policy misapplication to executive supervision. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee   Qualifications Job Qualifications   Education Bachelor’s degree required Experience and Qualifications 1-3 years’ experience in a customer service-oriented environment; or HR environment Paycom or HRIS experience preferred Independent school environment preferred Demonstrates knowledge of basic HR principles and practices preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google, AI   Working Conditions Sedentary work performed primarily in an office setting (prolonged periods of sitting) Intermittent physical activity including standing, kneeling, walking across campus, bending, reaching and lifting up to 25 lbs. Environment subject to frequent interruptions; varying and unpredictable situations Occasionally subject to irregular hours and mandatory overtime Occasional travel may be required (between campuses and possibly overnight)
