Job DetailsJob Location: Dixie Plywood & Lumber Co. of Ft. Lauderdale - Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33312Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: WarehouseReceive, store, load and move building materials in the warehouse and in the loading of trucks. Drive trucks to make deliveries as needed (CDL required). Workweek is Monday through Friday and may require some overtime work. Qualifications Must have ability to effectively and safely handle a forklift Must be able to read the customer order, shipping order, purchase order, and/or bill of lading to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Must be able to count and perform simple arithmetic Must be able to physically move material either by forklift or by hand to unload incoming materials from railcars, trucks; and, to load outgoing deliveries Must be able to identify products and accurately handle items specified on written company documents Must be able to keep warehouse clean and orderly Need to maintain good business relations with customers who come to the warehouse to pick up material Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields; minimum of three year verifiable tractor-trailer experience Ability to handle physical workload, to include heavy lifting, ability to apply force to tension/strap bar to secure load at each stop Must be able to ascend/descend in a tractor-trailer cab and flatbed trailer, at each stop Flat-bed and tarping experience Must have basic math and reading skills Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions Strong work ethic Able to pass a DOT-required Medical Examination (Medical Card) Employment and Driving records must be satisfactory to meet the company requirements (MVR, etc.)
