This is a per diem float position, which requires at least one year of clinical medical assistant experience to fill-in as needed for our medical group offices throughout Broward County.

Must be able to attend an initial two-week orientation, Monday - Friday during the dayshift. Typical office hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (shifts may vary and include 4-hour morning or afternoon shifts. Must have availability to attend required two-week orientation & training upon hire.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in a clinic or practice environment. A Medical Assistant - MA is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

What you will do:

  • Room set up and patient preparation

  • Take vitals; draw blood, give injections and immunizations

  • Perform office tests and administrative duties

What you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Successful completion of an accredited certified Medical Assistant - MA program or equivalent clinical experience

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification from a national agency: NCCT, NHA, AMCA, NAHP or AAMA; or a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through AMT  

  • Current BLS through the American Heart Association

  • Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred
