Job Summary

This is a performance-based sales role that retains and increases revenue of current customers through renewals, upselling and cross-selling to maintain MPS’s existing relationships, so that they will continue or start using MPS products.

Job Duties

  • Aligning internal resources to problem solve.
  • Proactively reach out to accounts to maintain and grow key relationships.
  • Generate more revenue through opportunities – upselling, cross-selling.
  • Anticipating customer needs, thinking 3 questions ahead.
  • Review quoting opportunities above threshold.
  • Weekly update to regional sales manager on weekly quoted items
  • Filling out customer forms as needed
  • Maintaining Customer Blanket Master sheets
  • Understanding and managing any commercial or term deviation approvals
  • JD Edwards read proficiency.
  • CRM maintenance and entry proficiency.
  • Coordinate, administer, monitor, and track customer feedback.
  • Proactively seek out ways to better serve customers.
  • 50% of time spent on full responsibility of “long tail” accounts - these are more transaction-oriented accounts but there is a lot of up-side.
  • Execute and assist in management of sales plays.
  • Work with customer service, sales, marketing, and customers during commercialization of new product launches.
  • Work closely with production and distribution teams giving direction and prioritization to meet customer’s requirements.
  • Organize and run Internal/External sales calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • Ability to lead diverse teams and drive sales effectiveness.
  • Strong capability in designing and implementing sales processes aligned to the strategic goals of the business.
  • Experience prioritizing tasks & managing collaboration between multiple forces.
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills with superior follow-through; ability to summarize status at executive level.
  • Experience in Power BI and/or JDE Reports Now
  • Typically require a bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience
