Brown & Brown is seeking a Risk Mitigation Specialist to join our growing team in Ft. Myers, FL. 

 

The Risk Mitigation Specialist will help businesses create safer, more compliant, and productive workplaces. This individual will provide support in report generation, data entry, and training delivery. 

 

How You Will Contribute: 

  • Draft, edit, and format various safety-related reports with accuracy and clarity, using standard or custom formats.  

  • Gather data from multiple sources to support report content and incident documentation.  

  • Maintain accurate safety records, training logs, and compliance files, both digitally and physically.  

  • Assist in analyzing safety data to identify trends and improvement areas.  

  • Prepare materials, coordinate schedules, and help deliver safety training sessions.  

  • Translate and present training materials in both English and Spanish to diverse audiences.  

  • Engage with clients and respond to their safety-related needs and concerns promptly and professionally.  

  • Handle scheduling, correspondence, and research tasks for safety consultants.  

  • Stay updated on safety regulations, industry standards, market trends, and competitor activity.  

  • Promote teamwork, follow company policies, and support departmental goals. 

 

Licenses & Certifications:  

  • Valid Property and Casualty (2-20) or Life & Health license.  

  • OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour certification.  

  • One (1) or more professional Insurance designations. 

 

Skills & Experience to be Successful: 

  • College degree or equivalent job-related experience required.   

  • One (1) or more professional Insurance designations.  

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish fluency - written and spoken) is essential.  

  • Knowledge of industry sales/marketing methods.   

  • Prior formal sales training   

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with data entry and management systems. Specifically, knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, and Database software.   

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.  

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals.   

  • Demonstrated passion for safety and a willingness to learn and grow in the field.  

  • This position requires routine or periodic travel or driving for future defensive driving instructor role which will require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirementsfor this position.
