Job description:
Kwik Kar on University has an immediate opening for an experienced assistant manager. Must have a TX state inspector license. Prior lube shop experience is mandatory. Role as the de facto service advisor for the shop.
Job responsibilities include the following:
- Opening and closing store
- Estimating and quoting mechanical services
- Inspecting belts, hoses, and wiper blades
- Inspecting fluid levels of power steering reservoir and transmission
- Checking air pressure of tires
- Tire Rotations
- Performing multi-point inspection
- Performing state inspections
- Operating and driving vehicles including those with manual transmissions
- Prepare detailed estimates using estimating software, including auto estimating and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines clearly to customers, ensuring transparency and trust
- Upsell services such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, A/C services, and other automotive repairs
Must be capable of operating in the following capacities:
- Courtesy
- Hood Tech
- Certified TX State Inspector
- Back-up Manager
- De facto Service Advisor
