About the Role
Mira Vista Country Club is seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Service Director to lead and elevate our Ala Carte dining operations. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for creating exceptional member dining experiences through operational excellence, team development, and elevated service standards.
The ideal candidate is a polished hospitality professional with a passion for leadership, member engagement, and creating a culture of accountability and excellence. This role works closely with culinary leadership and Clubhouse management to ensure seamless dining experiences across all member-facing outlets.
Hospitality & Dining Leadership
- Lead daily front-of-house dining operations with a strong floor presence during serviceÂ
- Build meaningful relationships with members and ensure exceptional guest experiencesÂ
- Oversee reservations, pacing, service timing, and dining room flowÂ
- Coach and mentor service teams in real time to maintain elevated hospitality standardsÂ
- Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu execution and dining strategiesÂ
- Support banquet and event service operations as neededÂ
Team Development
- Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate front-of-house staffÂ
- Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing hospitality educationÂ
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on professionalism and retentionÂ
- Develop future leaders through hands-on coaching and mentorshipÂ
POS & Systems Management
- Manage all food & beverage functions within the Jonas POS system, including:Â
- Menu updates and pricingÂ
- Staff permissions and table configurationsÂ
- Reporting and operational analysisÂ
- Train staff on POS procedures and troubleshootingÂ
- Partner with Accounting and IT to ensure accurate reporting and system functionalityÂ
Beverage Program Oversight
- Oversee beverage operations including inventory, vendor relationships, and pricingÂ
- Maintain wine lists and seasonal cocktail offeringsÂ
- Conduct monthly beverage inventories and monitor loss preventionÂ
- Lead beverage education and tasting sessions for service staffÂ
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and safety standardsÂ
Operational Leadership
- Assist with budgeting and financial oversight for dining and beverage operationsÂ
- Implement systems that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate service consistencyÂ
- Maintain compliance with sanitation, safety, and operational standardsÂ
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings and serve as Manager-on-Duty when neededÂ

Requirements

- Deep knowledge of upscale food & beverage service standardsÂ

- Experience managing beverage programs and inventoryÂ
- Strong organizational and labor management skillsÂ
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departmentsÂ
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferredÂ
- Minimum 3 years of food & beverage management experienceÂ
- Private club or upscale dining experience strongly preferredÂ
- Proven success in staff development and hospitality leadershipÂ
- Sommelier Certification (Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET) preferredÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteÂ
- Experience with Jonas POS systems is a plusÂ
Certifications Required
- TABC CertificationÂ
- Food Handler Manager CertificationÂ
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout service periodsÂ
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbsÂ
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environmentÂ
