Job Summary

  • The Payroll Specialist is responsible for maintaining and reviewing payroll data for multiple companies, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities-Payroll

  • Follow up with managers to ensure timecard approvals are completed
  • Ensure accuracy of multi-state, multi-company payroll data 
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
  • Answering employee questions
  • Conduct/assist in training employees in using the timekeeping and payroll applications
  • Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
  • Initiate off-cycle/manual payments timely 
  • Upload garnishment documents to payroll portal
  • Preparing reports for management review
  • Monitor quarterly and annual tax filings
  • Assist with payroll projects as needed

Education & Experience

  • 3+ year payroll experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
  • ADP experience a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and files. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
