Position Overview

Southall Church is a healthy, multiplying church in Franklin, TN with a vision to bring the life of Jesus to our families, neighbors and nations. We are looking for a Groups & Formation Coordinator to come alongside our Groups & Formation Director in supporting the ministry.


Role Summary

The Groups & Formation Coordinator helps people connect, grow, and engage in church life by planning and coordinating events, programs, and volunteer opportunities. This role ensures ministries run smoothly while actively supporting the church’s mission and vision.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Groups & Formation Director with daily operations.
  • Manage email communications and workflows via Mailchimp and Planning Center.
  • Maintain updated marketing materials, church webpage, and Asana projects.
  • Prepare expense reports and ensure systems and processes are organized and effective.
  • Schedule church calendar events and manage registrations for groups, classes, and events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including room setup, materials, and supplies.
  • Connect congregants to groups and manage workflows for group integration.
  • Track volunteer sign-ups and assist in placing them in appropriate roles.
  • Support volunteers by equipping, encouraging, and celebrating their contributions.
  • Other duties as needed.



Qualifications

  • Maximizes time effectively
  • Proficient in computer skills and quick learner with new programs
  • Strong attention to detail and is self-directed in managing tasks and projects efficiently
  • Teachable Spirit with the desire to learn and proactively seeks opportunities for growth
  • Anticipates problems and operates with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of information as appropriate
  • Love the local church and believe that organization of discipleship is Kingdom work





SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday  

HOURS: 40 (must be available for special events, church meetings, etc)

COMPENSATION: TBD

STAFF LEVEL: Coordinator: reports to the Groups & Formations Director
