ABOUT THE ROLE
The Material Specialist is responsible for coordinating product delivery to ensure manufacturing has raw materials on hand at the facility.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Records all inter-site movement of raw materials daily.
- Responsible for ensuring all original, hard copy BOLs from 3M, Gillibrand, OMYA, and Trumbill are entered in the software system daily with input on production schedule data.          Â
- Communicates with the manager when schedule changes have been made using the schedule notification process.      Â
- Reviews product schedules to coordinate raw material delivery, making decisions on the most cost-effective/ timely mode.
- Arranges with vendors directly to ensure manufacturing has raw material on hand.
- Works closely with the corporate office, coordinating appropriate delivery of materials as necessary.
- Maintains various spreadsheets of inventory for the corporate office.
- Review and send invoices to corporate daily to maintain accurate inventory counts.Â
- Submits invoices to accounting for review before processing.
- Directs the daily duties of the raw material unloaders.
- Sets production schedule utilizing information regarding costs associated with the production line, raw material lead times, and customer needs.
- Manages vendor relationships regarding the delivery of materials.
- Works with other departments, such as Quality and Accounting, when there are issues with raw materials, such as contamination or being out of specification.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or other relevant studies
Required Work Experience: At least two to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Travel Requirements: NA
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
