Job DetailsJob Location: Franklin, KY 42134Key Responsibilities: Perform functional, performance, durability, environmental, thermal, and chemical testing on automotive tapes in accordance to external standards and company requirements Develop, document, and execute test plans and protocols for new and existing products Interpret and understand external automotive testing standards (e.g., FORD, GM, CHRYSLER, DELPHI) Work with external testing labs to get quotes, issue PO’s, and send out samples for testing Analyze test data, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams for all internal and external testing Maintain all testing in a database for reference Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot product issues and improve performance Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies and quality assurance processes QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:  Competence in the basic understanding of process control equipment and the interrelations of processing conditions versus final product performance Competence in peel adhesion, tack and shear testing, and other analytical techniques Entrepreneurial and continuous innovation mindset   ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of chemical compatibilities, safety protocols & experience working in a laboratory Proficiency with MS office to record and report data in a professional manner Ability to travel as needed (limited) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be a proactive thinker, and results-oriented team player Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
