Pet Nutrition Packaging Co-Op Internship Experience 

As a Pet Nutrition Packaging R&D Intern or Co-Op, you will be responsible for the below: 

• Lead and execute packaging innovation projects under the guidance of packaging associates. 

• Perform packaging sustainability assignments to help meet Mars sustainability goals. 

• Collaborate with cross functional team members including product development, project management, finance, marketing. 

• Develop detailed packaging specifications. 

• Initiate, coordinate and execute line trials at co-manufacturers to confirm that quality attributes and performance metrics are achieved. 

• Coordinate the creation of high-quality prototypes to gauge consumer desirability, influence teams and support collaboration. 

What we’re looking for: 

• We are looking for agile, curious, and collaborative students who have a drive for results, a desire to learn, and who can quickly build relationships. 

• We are looking for students who are passionate about engineering and the consumer products industry. 

• Desired majors include Packaging, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Quality, Data Science 

• This opportunity will be in the Franklin, Tennessee area. 

• Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date. 

• Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment. 

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening. 

• Eligible candidates will be responsible for personal transportation to and from work site during duration of the internship program.
