Job Summary:
 The Dispatcher role is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with the day-to-day dispatching of delivery personnel and truck fleets. Under the direction of the Lead Dispatcher and/ or Warehouse Manager, the role ensures timely and accurate delivery coordination based on client contracts. This position involves continuous communication with drivers, providing directions, handling last-minute delivery changes, and notifying clients of updates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch Coordination: Assist with dispatching delivery personnel and vehicles in accordance with client contracts, instructions, and time constraints.
• Driver Communication: Maintain continuous communication with drivers to provide directions, resolve issues, and address last-minute delivery changes.
• Client Updates: Notify clients promptly about any delivery changes to ensure clear communication and client satisfaction.
• Cross-Training: Participate in cross-training activities, including learning to drive smaller vehicles and beginning training on up to 26' crew cabs if applicable.
• POR Proficiency: Develop proficiency in the POR Dispatch module and gain knowledge of additional modules, reports, and functions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Route Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting route-related issues to ensure smooth and efficient delivery operations.
• Team Support: Work collaboratively with the Lead Dispatcher, Warehouse Manager, and team to maintain high standards of delivery operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Entry-level; suitable for individuals with limited installation experience who are progressing toward intermediate proficiency in required tasks.
• Technical Skills: Ability to learn and effectively use the POR Dispatch module and other relevant tools.
• Physical Requirements: Capability to assist with driving tasks if required and to train on smaller vehicles up to 26' crew cabs.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and clients.
• Dependability: Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented to ensure seamless dispatch operations.

Work Environment:

• This position involves working in an office or warehouse setting, with occasional need to assist on-site or in vehicles. Non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required to meet delivery schedules.
