We are seeking a dedicated Document Specialist & Training Specialist (Document Remediation) to support our federal client.

This position is contingent on contract award.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

The Document Specialist & Training Specialist (Document Remediation) will combine hands-on technical document accessibility remediation with instructor-led training delivery to ensure federal digital content meets strict Section 508 accessibility standards.

In this full-time role, you will perform technical evaluation and remediation of electronic documents and forms across Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF formats using tests endorsed by the Federal CIO Council Community of Practice. In addition to direct remediation work, you will design, create, and facilitate instructor-led training sessions to educate government personnel on document accessibility standards, evaluation methodologies, and remediation techniques. You will also assist the government in making multimedia content fully Section 508 compliant.

What You Bring to the Table - Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Experience:

    • 2+ years of dedicated experience evaluating and remediating electronic documents and forms (including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF) for Section 508 compliance.

    • Proven experience creating and delivering instructor-led training materials and conducting training sessions on document accessibility.

  • Standards Knowledge: Broad knowledge and practical understanding of Accessibility Tests for Documents endorsed by the Federal CIO Council Community of Practice and Revised Section 508 Standards.

  • Core Capabilities:

    • Document & Form Remediation: Skilled in evaluating, remediating, and validating complex electronic documents, PDFs, fillable forms, spreadsheets, and presentations to ensure full accessibility.

    • Instructional Delivery: Demonstrated ability to provide clear verbal and written instruction and conduct engaging instructor-led training on document accessibility and remediation techniques.

    • Multimedia Compliance: Ability to assist the government in making multimedia content, digital assets, and video materials Section 508 compliant (including captioning, transcripts, and audio descriptions).

    • Communication: Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills to translate accessibility standards into clear, actionable training content for government personnel.
