Summary
Prestage Wholestone is a producer-owned pork protein provider that hires exceptional people who love what they do. This is a very fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving and growing. The sales & marketing division believes in creating strong relationships and providing excellent customer service. We want team members who are self-motivated, solution oriented and focused on being proactive and delivering outstanding service throughout all levels.
Education, Licensure and ExperienceÂ
- College Diploma desired but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years’ sales experience.
- Some travel may occur throughout the year.
- High energy and enthusiasm.
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple activities.
- Self-starter. Must ask questions and learn new skills quickly on the job.
- Driven, team player that is motivated to take responsibility.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with short turnarounds in a fast-paced working environment.
- Extremely competent in Microsoft applications.
- Comfortable with new computer programs.
Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Please note: This in no way states or implies that these are the only duties you will be required to perform. - Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
- Develop positive relationships with clients
- Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
- Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Report on the status of accounts and transactions
- Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
- Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Other duties as assigned.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the language of the majority cultural group in order to communicate effectively. Must be able to hear enough to understand those individuals as well. Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend documents such as grafts/flow sheets, financials, general professional articles and publications, governmental regulations, safety rules, assignment sheets, and procedure manuals. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, policies and procedures, and other administrative forms as outlined above.
Must be able to effectively communicate in both individual and group settings. Must be able to present information and respond to questions from individuals and/or groups.
Mathematical Skills
In order to perform duties, must be able to:
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure such as whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and fractions.
- Compute rate, discounts, ratios, and percent, and
- Make, read, and interpret financials, graphs, rates, ratios, and percentages.
Reasoning AbilityÂ
Ability to apply common sense and judgment in solving problems and interpreting and understanding instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action yet reason when to involve supervisor.
Computer SkillsÂ
Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn software.

- Display strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deal with frequent interruptions.
- Basic office skills such as phone skills, voice mail, copying, faxing, typing, and directing visitors.
- Ability to function independently given assigned duties.Â
