Role Description
Montero Law Group is seeking a full-time Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our Silver Spring office. In this role you will provide support, assist and handle all phases of bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish, self-driven and is able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Previous experience as a paralegal preferred.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of bankruptcy petitions and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research on bankruptcy laws and regulations
  • Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, creditors, and court personnel
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions as required
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish)
  • Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficiency with Bestcase bankruptcy software
  • Legal research and writing skills preferred
  • Must be punctual and dedicated
  • Strong organizational and research skills
