Upscale Dinning Host

The Monarch Restaurant at The Grand Galvez is seeking a polished, professional, and personable Upscale Dining Hostess to create an exceptional first and last impression for every guest.

The Hostess is the face of the restaurant and plays a critical role in delivering a refined, welcoming, and seamless dining experience. This position requires someone who is confident, attentive to detail, highly organized, and passionate about hospitality.

The ideal candidate understands the standards of upscale dining and knows how to make every guest feel genuinely welcomed and valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and acknowledge every guest upon arrival.
• Provide a gracious, professional, and personalized greeting.
• Manage the restaurant's reservation and seating systems accurately.
• Escort guests to their tables while maintaining proper service flow and table rotation.
• Communicate wait times and reservation information clearly and professionally.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with reservations, questions, and general inquiries.
• Manage OpenTable and other reservation platforms as assigned.
• Maintain accurate seating charts and coordinate table availability with the service team.
• Communicate effectively with servers, managers, bussers, and kitchen personnel.
• Monitor the dining room to ensure guests are being acknowledged and properly cared for.
• Assist with managing large parties, special occasions, VIP guests, and special requests.
• Maintain a professional and polished appearance at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand.
