The Medical Office Supervisor provides supervision to the Medical Secretaries in all daily activies as assigned. Tasks could include collection of data, coordination of information, assistance with schedules and messages, as well as other tasks. Is also an active member of the clerical team and still performs all clerical duties as time allows. Acts as a team lead for the clerical staff, coordinating daily needs and ensuring processes are followed. Helps to coordiante scheules throughout the office and also manages supplies. As a supervisor, employee would be expected to be a champion in the office, assisting management in any initiative that was currently in progress.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Minimum:
 -Two year degree with emphasis in business office practice or related experience considered
Preferred:
 -Bachelor's Degree


LICENSE:

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
-Three years supervisory experience
Preferred:
-Three to five years prior supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.

Minimum:
-Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and abiility to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
-Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
-Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
-Demonstrated ability to work independently.

- Computer literacy
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record.
- Completed medical terminology course.
