How you'll contribute
A Director of Outpatient Services who excels in this role:

  • Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


What we’re looking for

Education:

  • A Master’s degree in Behavioral Health is required, along with an independent clinical license, such as an LCSW or LPC.


Certifications:

  • BLS.
     

Skills & Experience:

  • Business Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and to interpret graphs.
  • Moderate Computer Skills – Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, and similar applications. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
  • Complex Communication – Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Ability to present information, resolve issues, and address delicate situations. Ability to motivate and persuade others.
  • Varied Business Problems – Addresses varied and complex problems requiring analysis and interpretation. Solves problems using knowledge and skills, established precedents, and standard practices.
  • Department Specific – Makes decisions that impact the management and operations of the department. May contribute to business and operational decisions affecting the department.
  • Functional Independent Judgment – Establishes goals and priorities for the functional area. May make recommendations regarding department policies, practices, and programs. Makes decisions and/or resolves problems on behalf of others.
  • Project Planning/Organization – Manages multiple projects simultaneously, including task delegation, project oversight, and resource allocation.

Copper Springs East in Gilbert, AZ, located in the greater Phoenix metro area, is a behavioral health hospital providing inpatient and outpatient programs for mental health and addiction. We treat adults and seniors.

Our treatment programs include inpatient mental health and addiction treatment, outpatient Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and ECT therapy.
