AirLife is hiring a Shipment Verification Specialist in our climate controlled facility located in Litchfield Park. 1st shift - 6am - 2:30pm Monday thru Friday.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipment Verification Specialist is responsible for performing independent verification of outbound customer shipments to ensure product accuracy, lot traceability, labeling compliance, and documentation accuracy prior to shipment release. This role serves as a critical quality function within the distribution process by detecting shipment discrepancies, documenting findings, supporting corrective actions, and maintaining shipment verification records. The Shipment Verification Specialist works closely with Warehouse Operations, Inventory Control, and Quality to ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

  • Must be familiar with proper packing methods and materials.
  • Experience with FedEx ship Manager and UPS Worldship required experience with online freight carrier software is desirable. 
  • Experience with scanners is helpful.
  • Familiarity with general quality inspection and verification activities is helpful.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies involving quantities, product numbers, lot numbers, and labeling.
  • Strong written documentation and recordkeeping skills.
  • Basic math, proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, and computer skills required. 
  • Attention to detail and being able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency on an Electric Pallet jack is helpful.

Level of Experience: 

  • Previous warehouse experience in a medical or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry of 2 to 4 years is preferred.
  • Previous experience performing inspections, audits, or quality verification activities is preferred.

Level of Education: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.
  • Perform independent verification of outbound customer shipments prior to release.
  • Verify product identification, quantities, lot numbers, labels, pallet counts, and shipment documentation for accuracy.
  • Conduct shipment inspections utilizing established sampling methodologies and quality procedures.
  • Complete shipment verification forms, logs, and associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Identify, document, and communicate shipment discrepancies and quality concerns.
  • Hold and escalate shipments when discrepancies or quality issues are identified.
  • Re-verify corrected shipments prior to release.
  • Maintain shipment verification records in accordance with company quality system requirements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to improve shipment accuracy and process effectiveness.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable quality, regulatory, safety, and company requirements.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in daily work; look for ways to improve and promote quality & safety.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a positive team environment..
