How you'll make an impact in this role
Provide strategic direction, oversight, and decision making for the organization's clinical pharmacy services throughout the continuum of care, including acute care, retail settings, physician clinics, and infusion services. Establish the vision for Clinical Pharmacy Services to support and sustain excellence in delivering evidence-based medication therapy.
- Oversee the development and execution of strategies for delivering clinical pharmacy services across the organization in order to achieve high quality, affordable health care that improves patient outcomes.
- Direct a team of local and regionally-based clinical pharmacy leaders in order to achieve consistently high levels of performance meeting clinical, operational and financial key process indicators.
- Assess external clinical pharmacy industry trends and developments that represent risk andopportunities for the organization. Develop short and long term plans to respond to potential risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with regulations of state, federal and other licensing andregulatory agencies at all hospital, outpatient pharmacy and other locations of medication management.
What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
Work Experience:
- 7 years of experience required.
- 5 years of cumulative leadership or management experience required.
- Pharmacy Residency preferred.
What additional requirements you'll need
- At least 5+ years of leadership experience in pharmacyÂ
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA or other relevant graduate degree)
- Experience with specialty pharmacy services
- Experience with infusion services
- Strong knowledge and experience with 340B programs and compliance
