Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in a healthcare/correctional environment. The ideal candidate will have formal pharmacy technician training, internship experience, and strong knowledge of pharmacy procedures, medication safety, electronic systems, and infection-control practices.

Location: Glenville, WV 26351

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, inventory management, documentation, and routine pharmacy operations.
• Use pharmacy computer systems and automated equipment accurately while maintaining required records.
• Follow medication safety, infection-control, security, and institutional procedures.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists, physicians, healthcare staff, patients/inmates, and other personnel.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Program and a Pharmacy Technician internship.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Knowledge of pharmacy methods, medical equipment, automated systems, safety, and infection control.
• Strong computer and electronic documentation skills.
• Ability to meet required health, security, background-check, and institutional orientation requirements.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
