Job DetailsJob Location: Legal Address - Grand Prairie, TX 75052Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeSalary Range: $14.00 - $15.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayPosition Summary The Summer Counselor is responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers while supervising daily activities and ensuring excellent guest experiences. This role includes leading group activities, assisting with events, maintaining safety standards, and supporting overall camp operations. Key Responsibilities Camper Supervision Supervise and engage campers throughout daily activities Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times Maintain positive interactions with campers, parents, and team members Enforce camp rules, policies, and procedures Activity Coordination Lead games, group activities, crafts, and team-building exercises Assist with setup, breakdown, and organization of activities and events Encourage participation and create an inclusive environment for all campers Support themed events and special programming Operations & Safety Monitor activity areas for cleanliness and safety Report incidents, injuries, or maintenance concerns to leadership immediately Assist with daily opening and closing procedures Ensure campers follow safety guidelines during activities and attractions Teamwork & Communication Work closely with leadership and fellow counselors to ensure smooth daily operations Communicate effectively with parents and guardians when needed Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in high-energy environments QualificationsQualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Ability to supervise groups of children responsibly Previous childcare, camp, recreation, or customer service experience preferred Must be reliable, punctual, and professional Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to participate in active games and activities Ability to lift and move supplies as needed Schedule Requirements Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed Flexible schedule during summer operations
