As a Senior Technician, you’ll help drive an efficient and high‑quality service that fuels the well‑being of our patients, team members, and visitors. You’ll take the lead in ensuring exceptional meal service, solving challenges with confidence, and keeping operations running smoothly. Your strong communication, collaboration, and leadership will help create a positive, energized environment where great service and great teamwork thrive.

Essential Functions

  • Develop, communicate, and uphold organizational procedures and policies, ensuring staff are properly trained and compliant with established standards.

  • Oversees and delivers comprehensive training for all new hires in the Nutrition Services Department, ensuring proficiency in diet standards, food safety protocols, patient‑focused service, and department workflows which include:

  • Call Center, Trayline, Tray Delivery, Dish Room and Nourishments

  • Will be trained and prepared to assist as department lead as needed, providing oversight and support to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Answering patient, team member, nursing, and visitor inquiries

  • Reallocating team members during staffing shortages

  • Professionally and appropriately addressing team members and handling high volume food service environment.

  • Consistently communicates clearly and collaborates closely with staff, peers, and leadership to promote transparency, teamwork, and operational efficiency.

  • Proactively shares information, supports problem‑solving, and contributes to a culture of trust, respect, and continuous improvement.

  • Must be able to complete supplementary duties as directed by management, including tasks not explicitly listed.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP - ANSI National Accreditation Board ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days

  • 6 months of relevant experience food service, preferably in health care setting or related field

Preferred

  • Associate's degree Hospitality or Nutrition

  • 6 months of relevant experience Leadership
