What You'll Do

No two days are exactly the same. On a typical day, you may respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, and complete repairs that help keep our properties running smoothly for tenants and guests.


Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial building systems and equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems
  • Service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment
  • Assist with installation, modification, and replacement of building equipment and systems
  • Complete work orders and respond promptly to maintenance requests
  • Repair and replace ceiling tiles, door hardware, paint, wall coverings, and other building finishes
  • Inspect properties and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns
  • Maintain and support fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Recommend improvements, upgrades, and preventive maintenance initiatives
  • Safely operate maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery
  • Utilize work order systems, building automation systems, smartphones, tablets, and computers to document maintenance activities
  • Participate in emergency response activities and on-call rotation as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Three or more years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, industrial or manufacturing maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, property maintenance, or related skilled trades. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance methods, tools, and equipment. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond with urgency.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computerized maintenance management systems. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Valid driver's license preferred. 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and perform physical work throughout the day
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to participate in overtime and on-call rotations as needed
