Join our Team as a Trade Import Compliance Co-op!

 

The Role: 

We’re seeking a motivated Trade Import Compliance Co-op to join our team this Spring 2027 semester! This internship offers hands-on experience in Trade Compliance, where you’ll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into US Import regulations, Tariff Classification, and Free Trade Program Analysis.  You’ll collaborate with the Trade Compliance team, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!  

 

 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Review product information and supporting documentation to help verify tariff classifications and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy. 
  • Analyze supplier records and manufacturing information to validate country-of-origin declarations and support customs compliance requirements. 
  • Assist with reviewing trade agreement documentation to identify products that may qualify for reduced duty rates and ensure supporting records are complete and organized. 
  • Conduct audits of import transactions, compare customs entry information to internal records, and prepare reports highlighting discrepancies and trends. 
  • Develop dashboards, trackers, and process documentation that improve compliance visibility, audit readiness, and operational efficiency across the import program.   
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, Operations.  
  • Research global trade regulations and emerging customs requirements, then present findings and recommendations to the compliance team.  

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0  
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, International Relations, or a related field. 
  • Demonstrated interest in international trade, supply chain, logistics, customs compliance, or global business through coursework, projects, internships, student organizations, or related experiences. 
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data and documentation. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Co-op duration: Spring 2027

Wage - $20.00 - $30.00+ per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
