Assistant Director of Project Management

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina

About the Role

Allen Industries is hiring an Assistant Director of Project Management to lead day-to-day execution across project teams and drive operational performance across key accounts and verticals. This is a hands-on leadership role—you will lead Team Leads, ensure project delivery performance, and translate company strategy into executable results.

What You’ll Do

Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
Lead and manage Project Management Team Leads across assigned verticals
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget/margin expectations
Monitor workload, staffing alignment, and team performance
Serve as the escalation point for project and personnel issues
Identify risks early and implement corrective actions to protect timelines and margins
Coach, develop, and hold Team Leads accountable for results and communication
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Estimating, Design, Operations, and Installation teams
Review project financials, forecasts, and budget variances
Drive process improvements and standardization across teams

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
7+ years of progressive project management experience
7+ years in a leadership role with direct people management
Proven experience leading managers or team leads
PMP Certification Preferred
