Gossett Concrete Pipe is seeking a Technical Resource Engineer to support the continued growth of our reinforced concrete pipe and precast concrete product lines.

This position will work directly with consulting engineers, contractors, municipalities, government agencies, and our internal sales and production teams. The ideal candidate will combine technical engineering knowledge with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

The Technical Resource Engineer will help customers identify practical solutions for stormwater, drainage, and infrastructure projects while promoting the proper specification and use of reinforced concrete pipe and precast concrete products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and project-specific solutions to engineers, contractors, municipalities, and other customers.
  • Promote Gossett Concrete Pipe’s reinforced concrete pipe, precast box culverts, and related infrastructure products.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, SCDOT, NCDOT, municipalities, and other specifying agencies.
  • Assist engineers and project owners with product selection, specifications, installation requirements, and technical questions.
  • Serve as the technical connection between customers and Gossett’s sales, estimating, engineering, quality control, and production teams.
  • Review project plans and specifications to identify opportunities for concrete pipe and precast products.
  • Help educate engineers and other industry professionals about concrete pipe design, installation, performance, and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate and conduct technical presentations, Lunch & Learn programs, plant tours, and product demonstrations.
  • Represent Gossett Concrete Pipe at trade shows, industry meetings, technical committees, and professional association events.
  • Support the introduction and market development of new products.
  • Assist with technical submittals, product information, specification language, and project-related documentation.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of customer, project, and company information.
  • Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Complete other technical or market-development assignments as needed.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Two or more years of relevant engineering, construction, infrastructure, precast concrete, or technical sales experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineer license or Engineer-in-Training certification is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of storm drainage systems, reinforced concrete pipe, precast concrete, or civil construction is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable delivering technical presentations to both small and large groups.
  • Ability to understand construction drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with sales, production, quality control, and management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other common business applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory as necessary.
