Role: Receiving and Inventory Control Supervisor
Reports To: Vice President of Operations
Job Summary: The Receiving and Inventory Control Supervisor will ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organizations inventory cycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.Â
- Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions, stock numbers, and prices.Â
- Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.Â
- Communicates with Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes in location, counts, etc.Â
- Collaborates with Sales, Purchasing, and Returns Departments to maximize efficiency in the Inventory Control Department.
- Sets authorization limits for purchasing and sales staff.
- Ensures inventory milestones and goals are met.Â
- Adheres to approved budget constraints.Â
- Oversees the end of the year physical inventory assessments.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures related to inventory control with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Â
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.Â
- Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.Â
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Â
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate from department to department safely and in a timely manner
