How will you fit into the big picture?

The Sweets & Refreshments DCS team drives brand strategy, marketing and product innovation, and whitespace growth across Hershey’s sweets and refreshments portfolio. In this role, you will develop consumer-grounded growth initiatives for Twizzlers and Sour Strips and may flex across other sweets and refreshments brands based on business need. You will help shape strategy and lead projects from discovery and ideation through commercialization, turning trends, unmet consumer needs, and whitespace opportunities into growth. 

What will you do?

 

• Use knowledge of trends in sweets and broader snacking categories to identify whitespace opportunities and translate insights into actionable innovation strategies. 

• Identify, analyze, structure, develop, and present recommendations to leaders. 

• Lead new product and non-product initiatives from discovery and ideation through commercialization. 

• Coordinate cross-functional work across the company to execute projects and deliver on timelines. 

• Lead activities with third-party suppliers and partners, including agencies and research vendors. 

Minimum Education & Requirements

 

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, planning, analytical, and project management skills. 

• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive innovation. 

• Clear written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences, including senior leadership. 

• Solid business knowledge, a general management mindset, and accountability for business results and economic value creation. 

Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience. Experience in functional marketing and syndicated data, such as Circana or Numerator, is preferred. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred.
